Claire - Day 6 - Builth Wells to Brecon 3rd July

Awakened to the sound of a consistant drumming on the tent! Yes, rain... it was so wet that morning we all skipped breakfast, as inside the gazebo was wetter than outside. We headed off from Builth early, some appreciative of the rain as it had been so hot all week. Our destination was Bishops Meadow Caravan Park in Brecon.

Half way to Brecon the sun decided to come out and dry us off. It was a nice relaxed ride that morning following Route 8, taking in the scenery and small villages of Boughwood and Boughwood Brest. Half way at Glasbury we were met by Colin in the support vehicle with cool drinks.

Having sufficiently revived we continued our journey to Brecon. At Llanfilo we conquered the ever so steep hill to enjoy the fast descent. As a BBQ birthday party was arranged for Alan at the campsite we sped happily along the last few remaining lanes and arrived at the campsite earlier enough to have a dip in the pool and get some rays.

As it was the last night of the ride Chris, James, Nadine, Amy and Tracey joined us for the BBQ and we all had a sing along for Alan to wish him a happy 65th Birthday, the chocolate cake went down a treat!
