Claire - Day 5 - Llanidloes to Builth Wells 2nd July

Another early start for the 31 mile ride to Builth Wells. On route we came across Kate & Kayleigh with the rest of the team at the side of the road. Kates bike had broke just as she was changing gears going up hill. Luckily enough we had spare bikes (loaned by Eleanor from Sustrans) on the support vehicle. A quick phone call and Colin arrived to swap over the bikes for us.

Next stop was Rhayader where the support vehicle was stationed with cool drinks and words of encouragement. At Newbridge-on-Wye Myself & Leighton took a break and a coffee to revive ourselves. We waited for Kate & Kayleigh then headed down into Builth Wells. At White House Campsite the tents had been erected and a warm cuppa was waiting for us.

Not in the mood for cooking some of us went in search of fish & chips. Later we met in the pub where we celebrated Paul's birthday with a few drinks & a birthday cake. Once more it was back to the campsite for an early night.
