We all headed off early that morning as we were awake with the dawn chorus! (Steve & Gareth makin a cuppa!)
Our target for the day was the campsite in Penrhyndeudraeth just outside Porthmadog.
After making lunches and distributing Lorraine's fabulous and tasty flapjacks we headed off.
As we passed through Porthmadog some managed not to see the route 8 signs for the cycle path and cycled on the train track along the Cob... luckily enough there were no trains coming!
Passing Portmeirion village we discovered the campsite where there was a warm welcome from our support team. Later that evening Chris and Sara arrived to give moral support and to see Portmeirion....after the evening meal we spent the rest of the evening running from the midges that were determined to bite us!
An early night was had by all in prep for the cycle to Dolgellau the next day....
